It is officially recognized by the declaration receipt No. 0791/MISD-SG-DAPSC-DSC of August 1, 2003.
Missions
The mission of the AGBO-ZEGUE organization is to provide scientific and technical support to efforts to conserve endangered species as well as fragile ecosystems and especially protected areas. It seeks to provide (i) decision-makers with the basic elements necessary for making sound decisions in the management of natural resources (ii) of local communities, information useful for the protection and enhancement of their natural heritage in order to improve their living conditions. It also provides scientific and technical support to several organizations in the area of natural resource management at the national, subregional and international levels.
The fields of intervention of the NGO AGBO-ZEGUE are diverse. The most important are: (i) the management of protected areas and water resources and wetlands, (ii) the conservation and management of populations of endangered species, (iii) the development of tools for adapting to climate change, (iv) support for the application of environmental legislation and the management of natural resources, (v) the development of income-generating activities especially for grassroots communities, (vi) the strengthening of environmental legislation and the management of natural resources, (v) the development of income-generating activities especially for grassroots communities, (vi) the strengthening of natural resource management capabilities, (vii) the social activities and community development, etc.
